Meteors Falling and the Earth Shaking

Revelation 6:13-17 King James Version (KJV)

13 And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind.

14 And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.

15 And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains;

16 And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb:

17 For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?

Psalm 29:7-8 King James Version (KJV)

The voice of the Lord divideth the flames of fire.

The voice of the Lord shaketh the wilderness; the Lord shaketh the wilderness of Kadesh.

The voice of the Lord shaketh,  people. After this meteor fell in Michigan the ground shook beneath their feet. Do we still not believe? Yes, there is a GOD; He has a Son named Jesus and the Holy Spirit is with his church to help and assist His people. This is real people. Those who have not received Jesus as Lord, believe in your heart and confess with your mouth while you still have a chance. Amen!!!!!!

LORD Light My Fire

It is my prayer that during these dark times when people are seeking illumination that they do not forget the true living GOD and go looking for insight, knowledge and understanding somewhere else. I pray that they do not listen to the culture and believe that there is no GOD and pursue there own way. People seem to get discouraged when they do not see GOD actively moving in their lives. GOD is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8). HE has not changed. HE is still the same prayer answering GOD. Do not turn your back on HIM. Remain true to HIM and HE will remain true to you. Remain faithful to HIM and HE will remain faithful to you. We will always have to persevere in this life. Our faith should push us forward when our mind and people tell us to stop. We should always keep our lamps lit because we do not know when the Lord will return.

An example of this is the five wise virgins and the five foolish virgins.

Matthew 25:1-13 New International Version (NIV)

The Parable of the Ten Virgins

25 “At that time the kingdom of heaven will be like ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. Five of them were foolish and five were wise. The foolish ones took their lamps but did not take any oil with them. The wise ones, however, took oil in jars along with their lamps. The bridegroom was a long time in coming, and they all became drowsy and fell asleep.

“At midnight the cry rang out: ‘Here’s the bridegroom! Come out to meet him!’

“Then all the virgins woke up and trimmed their lamps. The foolish ones said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil; our lamps are going out.’

“‘No,’ they replied, ‘there may not be enough for both us and you. Instead, go to those who sell oil and buy some for yourselves.’

10 “But while they were on their way to buy the oil, the bridegroom arrived. The virgins who were ready went in with him to the wedding banquet. And the door was shut.

11 “Later the others also came. ‘Lord, Lord,’ they said, ‘open the door for us!’

12 “But he replied, ‘Truly I tell you, I don’t know you.’

13 “Therefore keep watch, because you do not know the day or the hour.

God did not show up when they thought they would so they got lax about being ready for his arrival. They were not prepared to meet the Lord. This is a bad predicament to be in. We don’t know when we are going to die so when we do die we need to be ready to meet the Lord. This will happen. Do not doubt it. There is a heaven and there is a hell. Those who are ready to meet the Lord will enter into heaven. Those who are not ready and have not made preparation for it will enter into hell. The five wise virgins were ready and the five foolish were not.

How do we keep our torches lit for the Lord.

  1. We need to connect with HIM everyday either through prayer or studying HIS WORD. We need to be filled with HIS WORD daily. We need to have our mind on JESUS so HE will influence our thoughts and actions for the day.

Godly Discipline Best

As children growing up we learned to fear the wrath and anger of our parents. When parents are upset there is normally some type of punishment that goes along with it; no dessert for a week, no driving the vehicle for a month, or go to school and come straight home for a week. There would be some type of retribution for bad behavior. Who am I kidding? Children these days are not corrected for bad behavior. If anything they are rewarded for their inadequate and unacceptable behavior. If a child is not corrected, they will think what they do is acceptable and correct. Children are being misled. Children are being led down the wrong path and they are going to find out the end result is misery for them.

Children are given to parents by God to raise them to be responsible adults. Children are to be raised in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.

Ephesians 6:4 New International Version (NIV)

Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.

In many homes today children do not have any kind of training or instruction. They are just here. Some parents may even think there children get in their way. They can’t go party and drink now because they have a kid.

Children are a responsibility. They need to be nurtured, taken cared of, and raised. Children cannot raise themselves. Godly discipline is needed in homes today.

Isaiah 49:15 New International Version (NIV)

15 “Can a mother forget the baby at her breast
and have no compassion on the child she has borne?
Though she may forget,
    I will not forget you!

Proverbs 22:6 New International Version (NIV)

Start children off on the way they should go,
and even when they are old they will not turn from it.

Proverbs 13:24 New International Version (NIV)

24 Whoever spares the rod hates their children,
but the one who loves their children is careful to discipline them.

An example of bad parenting in the bible is Eli. Eli was a high priest in the bible. This high priest had two very wicked sons. The sons would take the choice meat from the sacrifices for themselves and have sexual relations with the women that serve at the sanctuary. Eli knew what was going on but disciplines them too lightly and lets them continue with what they were doing. Because Eli did not stop this a prophet prophesies that Eli and all his male descendants will die before reaching old age and will be placed in positions subordinate to other prophets. God disciplined Eli, his two sons and all males in his family because of this sin. It is best if the parent handles the situation before God gets involved.  Amen!!!!!!

Good and Faithful Servant

God is slow to anger people. He is slow to wrath. He is slow to fury and rage. I think we forget or do not realize what a blessing this is. I am sure we all have done something to make God mad at times but He gives us time to repent. He realizes we are made out of flesh and blood and that we are going to make mistakes and errors. Some mistakes are big and huge. Others are small and tiny. Whatever mistakes we make we must remember to make it right with God. It matters what He thinks of us. It matters to be pleasing in His sight. He holds our life in his hands. We do not have any say so when it is time to leave this world. There will not be any bargaining or negotiating with God. It will just be time to go. What will he say to you when He sees you? Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord (Matthew 25:21). This should be our focus and concern while we are living here on this earth; not how much money we have and how can we obtain more. When we die we can’t take a thing with us. It will be left here on the earth for family, friends, enemies, government and strangers to pick and fight over. All what you had toiled over will be left behind.

Look at this example in the bible:

Luke 12:16-21 New Life Version (NLV)

The Picture-Story of the Rich Fool

16 Then He told them a picture-story, saying, “The fields of a rich man gave much grain. 17 The rich man thought to himself, ‘What will I do? I have no place to put the grain.’ 18 Then he said, ‘I know what I will do. I will take down my grain building and I will build a bigger one. I will put all my grain and other things I own into it. 19 And I will say to my soul, “Soul, you have many good things put away in your building. It will be all you need for many years to come. Now rest and eat and drink and have lots of fun.”’ 20 But God said to him, ‘You fool! Tonight your soul will be taken from you. Then who will have all the things you have put away?’ 21 It is the same with a man who puts away riches for himself and does not have the riches of God.”

Do not let your life be only about increasing worldly possessions. Take time to live and enjoy life as God intended.

Do You Love Jesus Today?

What a question hey? Jesus asked Peter this question after he denied Him three times. Jesus told Peter he was going to do this. Peter told the Lord he was willing to die with Him.

Matthew 26:34-35 Common English Bible (CEB)

34 Jesus said to him, “I assure you that, before the rooster crows tonight, you will deny me three times.”

35 Peter said, “Even if I must die alongside you, I won’t deny you.” All the disciples said the same thing.

God knows His people. He know us so well. He knows us better than we know ourselves. Perhaps at the time when he said this he actually meant it but God knew what he was going to do.

Jesus asks Peter this question three times. He was reminding him of the three times he denied him. Peter never denies the Lord again. In fact he preaches the first sermon after Jesus ascension and 3,000 souls were added to the church.

What about you? Do you love Jesus? What if Jesus were to ask you this today? How would you respond? Yes Lord, I love you. Are you willing to do what HE asks?

It is not the most comfortable or convenient thing to do sometimes. Following God is not always easy. Jesus showed His love for GOD by dying on the cross for HIM. This was the most difficult decision that Jesus made. Jesus said not my will but thine be done. If there were any other way Jesus would have preferred it but God let Him know the cross was his only way.

What God asks us is not easy sometimes. What are you willing to endure for Jesus?

God is testing our faith when He asks difficult things of us.

God calling Moses to lead the people of Israel out of Egypt. Moses thought this to be difficult.

Exodus 3:7-12 Common English Bible (CEB)

Then the Lord said, “I’ve clearly seen my people oppressed in Egypt. I’ve heard their cry of injustice because of their slave masters. I know about their pain. I’ve come down to rescue them from the Egyptians in order to take them out of that land and bring them to a good and broad land, a land that’s full of milk and honey, a place where the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Amorites, the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites all live. Now the Israelites’ cries of injustice have reached me. I’ve seen just how much the Egyptians have oppressed them. 10 So get going. I’m sending you to Pharaoh to bring my people, the Israelites, out of Egypt.”

11 But Moses said to God, “Who am I to go to Pharaoh and to bring the Israelites out of Egypt?”

12 God said, “I’ll be with you. And this will show you that I’m the one who sent you. After you bring the people out of Egypt, you will come back here and worship God on this mountain.”

Abraham taking Isaac to the mountain like God asked to offer him as a sacrifice to God.

Genesis 22:1-2 New International Version (NIV)

Abraham Tested

22 Some time later God tested Abraham. He said to him, “Abraham!”

“Here I am,” he replied.

Then God said, “Take your son, your only son, whom you love—Isaac—and go to the region of Moriah. Sacrifice him there as a burnt offering on a mountain I will show you.”

This was not easy for Him but one thing about Abraham was that he believed and trusted God. Abraham believed that God can raise the dead.

Romans 4:17-18 Easy-to-Read Version (ERV)

17 As the Scriptures say, “I have made you a father of many nations.” This is true before God, the one Abraham believed—the God who gives life to the dead and speaks of things that don’t yet exist as if they are real.

18 There was no hope that Abraham would have children, but Abraham believed God and continued to hope. And that is why he became the father of many nations. As God told him, “You will have many descendants.”

So the question we may need to be asking is not Do You Love Jesus? but How much do you love Jesus?

These people loved Jesus a whole lot. What about you? How much do you love Jesus today? Amen!!!!!!!

GOD is Waiting with His Arms Wide Open

Psalm 5:11-12 The Message (MSG)

11-12 But you’ll welcome us with open arms
when we run for cover to you.
Let the party last all night!
    Stand guard over our celebration.
You are famous, God, for welcoming God-seekers,
for decking us out in delight.

When someone is standing somewhere with their arms wide open that means they receive you. They are not judging you or talking about you. They just want you to be where they are. God wants us to be where He is; in heaven. If things are not like what they need to be; GOD will clean it up and make it right. As the Word goes forth it corrects us of error.  Those who are truly seeking GOD will realize this. They will make the necessary changes in their life to be right before GOD. People who are not ready to submit to a true living God will not come to Him.  Those who create their own religion and what is acceptable to them are in the hands of GOD. His name and holiness is not something to take lightly and if they do not repent and stop this they will find out what their wickedness has gotten them into. Do not worry about the ones who are playing or acting holy. God has the situation under control.  He knows the ones who are real and the ones who are fake.

Matthew 13:49 Easy-to-Read Version (ERV)

49 It will be the same at the end of time. The angels will come and separate the evil people from the godly people.

Evilness and wickedness will be exposed.

Genesis 1:4 Easy-to-Read Version (ERV)

He saw the light, and he knew that it was good. Then he separated the light from the darkness.

GOD knows his children and His family and who belongs with Him.

Matthew 25:32 Easy-to-Read Version (ERV)

32 All the people of the world will be gathered before him. Then he will separate everyone into two groups. It will be like a shepherd separating his sheep from his goats.

When the wicked can’t get their way through manipulation and scheming, they will leave. Only those who are are real will remain. They are the only ones who can be managed by God’s truth. Everyone can’t be managed because they want to be in control and have their way.  Once we come to GOD through Christ, it is never our way, only GOD’s way. We are to used by GOD for his glory; not to be used by people for their ulterior motives. Watch out for wolves in sheep clothing (Matthew 7:15).  They want to use and abuse God’s sheep. Let us read and know our bible for ourselves. Let us know God for ourselves. The true GOD. GOD is not a joke. HE is not something made up. GOD is real. Death and the grave is real. Everyone is going to die someday.  Where will you end up? The old are not the only one dying. Young people are leaving this world before time. GOD wants us with HIM.  Yeah, they may have engaged in some behaviors in their past that were not good. We all have done things that were not good or bad when we look back  at them but I thank God for his grace and mercy that has given us the chance to make things right with Him. I thank God that the entrance to heaven is not dependent upon what people say. If that was so, then there would be no one there. Give your life to Christ today and find security in knowing that when you leave this world, you have a home with God in heaven. Amen!!!!!!!!

Christ Reconciling Work

When people think of beauty outward appearance always comes to mind. The way people look is not really all that important. People can look beautiful physically but have a nasty attitude. There face may look beautiful but their speech and talk is mean, hateful, and cruel. Who would want to be around a person like this? The bible describes Jesus as having no beauty that we should desire him.

Isaiah 53:2 King James Version (KJV)

For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him.

Yet crowds of people came to Him. They came because of His words, His healings, and His miracles. There was no physical beauty but there was beauty how he preached and reached the people. There was beauty when the woman he told the woman who touched the hem of his garment,  “Daughter, be of good comfort; thy faith hath made thee whole” (Matthew 9:22). He didn’t say, “Woman get your dirty nasty hands off of me”. This what some of us would say today if this happened. Jesus showed compassion. He showed love. He saw the woman’s faith and responded with granting her with what she wanted. Jesus reconciled her to race of people by healing her bleeding and making her clean among the people. This is beautiful. This is what GOD does through his Son Jesus. Those who have been left out and discarded by others Jesus comes in takes care of the issue or problem and brings them back to the sheepfold of God. When He does this they are joined with their brothers and sisters in Christ. God loves oneness. God loves wholeness. He wants His family back together again. The family that has been separated by sin, hurt and bitterness caused by the enemy. God will forgive us of every pain and sin if we let Him.  Jesus has already paid the price for sin when He suffered and died on the cross.

Colossians 1:13-14 New International Version (NIV)

13 For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, 14 in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.

This is beautiful; died on the cross in our place, giving us life everlasting. All we have to do is receive it. All we have to do is believe in Christ reconciling work on the cross. Jesus saves us people from life of pain and misery in the next life. Receive Jesus today and live. Amen!!!!!!!
