Hello people, how are you today? I would like to talk to you today about how GOD is not changing while the world is changing. The world changes with seasons and trends but our GOD remains the same. This is not a bad thing. This is a good thing. When we need our GOD we know where HE is and how to contact HIM. His home is heaven and we contact HIM by prayer.
Hebrews 13:8 New International Version (NIV)
8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.
When things are constantly changing, people begin to think was this true to begin with. With GOD the church’s teachings are built upon the bible, scripture, which is a sure thing in the life of the believer. Be sure your faith is in the correct GOD today and not something fabricated or made up. The bible is a measuring stick for truth. The culture we live in today challenges the truth of the bible because it is opposite of how the world thinks and acts. GOD’s way is the correct way and HIS WORD is truth.
Psalm 119:160 New International Version (NIV)
160 All your words are true;
all your righteous laws are eternal.
John 17:17 New International Version (NIV)
17 Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth.
Ephesians 1:13-14 New International Version (NIV)
13 And you also were included in Christ when you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation. When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, 14 who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession—to the praise of his glory.
James 1:18 New International Version (NIV)
18 He chose to give us birth through the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of all he created.
GOD will lead us into truth if we allow HIM.
John 16:13-14 Contemporary English Version (CEV)
13 The Spirit shows what is true and will come and guide you into the full truth. The Spirit doesn’t speak on his own. He will tell you only what he has heard from me, and he will let you know what is going to happen. 14 The Spirit will bring glory to me by taking my message and telling it to you.
This is bring us unto JESUS who is the truth.
John 14:6 King James Version (KJV)
6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
Jesus takes us on in to Father GOD Yahweh where we will live eternally with HIM. Jesus is the way. Jesus will always be the way. This will never change. There is no other way into heaven. We must go through Jesus and the cross.
Believe in Jesus today. Receive His sacrifice today that He made on the cross for your sins. Jesus is real. Father GOD Yahweh is real. The Holy Spirit is real. No one is lying to you. Receive salvation today from Jesus Christ and receive reservations in heaven. Amen!!!!!!
The Christian life is different from worldly living or it is suppose to be. Sometimes its hard to tell. It appears as though the church is pursuing the same things the world is pursuing. People want things that GOD didn’t give them. Let me tell you right now; if GOD didn’t give it to you, whatever it is, it want last. It want bring you joy or fulfillment, it will only bring you heartache and pain. We are always coveting what someone else has. Quit wanting what someone else has and ask GOD what does he want you to have. Everyone has different assignments in the church. GOD gives us what we need to complete our assignment. We live for GOD not for ourselves. Life and breath in our body comes from HIM today. You might not acknowledge it but it is the truth. GOD holds our life in HIS hands. HE and only HE is LORD. Can’t no one take HIS place. No other God can do what HE can do. There is no other GOD. GOD is King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Quit worshiping these things that do not have life; inanimate objects. Jesus was crucified, dead, and buried. He was dead for three days. Father God (Yahweh) raised Jesus from the dead just like HE said HE would. JESUS now sits on the right hand of GOD the Father Almighty. He will come back to the earth to judge the quick and the dead. There is life in Jesus today, in this world and in the world to come. Be ready when Jesus comes back. Pursue those things that are important to GOD today.
Matthew 5:3-12 New International Version (NIV)
3 “Blessed are the poor in spirit,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
4 Blessed are those who mourn,
for they will be comforted.
5 Blessed are the meek,
for they will inherit the earth.
6 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness,
for they will be filled.
7 Blessed are the merciful,
for they will be shown mercy.
8 Blessed are the pure in heart,
for they will see God.
9 Blessed are the peacemakers,
for they will be called children of God.
10 Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
11 “Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. 12 Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.
Poor maybe in those things that the world has but rich in the things of God. No fame or great wealth but may have a loving faithful spouse, food to eat, a nice vehicle; not a mercedes benz, rolls royce, or porsche; a nice home, not a mansion; nice clothes, not name brand fashionable clothes, and money to pay bills and have money left over. This is rich people in GOD. Receive and accept this. This is real living.
People who mourn over wrong they have done and truly seek repentance from GOD. They turn from the wickedness they have committed and give their life over to GOD. This is what GOD wants. This is what GOD desires true repentance.
The meek are gentle and easy to forgive those who have done them wrong. They let GOD deal with their enemies and continue to be Christians. God does deal with enemies. It may appear HE does not but HE does. He gives the enemy a chance to repent. GOD is a just GOD. GOD is merciful. HE does not give us what we deserve but HE gives us a chance to make it right with HIM. If we do not repent after a time of grace then punishment comes from HIM. GOD is just like a Father punishing disobedient children who can’t do what they are told.
The pure in heart are upstanding, decent, good, right minded. Their motives and intents are free from manipulations and wickedness. They stay in line with what GOD says. It is revealed in the their outward actions toward other people. This is plainly seen. This is what GOD wants from HIS people.
GOD wants his people to be peacemakers. He wants us to get along with other people. Peacemakers actions prevent hostility, friction, and hatred. Peacemakers desire people who have broken apart because of misunderstanding, wrong words and actions, to come together again. Peacemakers do not like schisms in the church, the work place, or any place for that matter.
Nobody likes to be teased, poked fun at, or laughed at because of their faith in Christ but because this world is not our home we will have to endure some things that are uncomfortable at times. Do not focus on them but always keep your mind fixed on Christ.
2 Timothy 4:18 21st Century King James Version (KJ21)
18 And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work and will preserve me unto His heavenly Kingdom, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
Proverbs 12:26 New International Version (NIV)
26 The righteous choose their friends carefully,
but the way of the wicked leads them astray.
It is good these days to choose our friends wisely. We want people who have the same beliefs that we do to be our confidants and brothers and sisters in Christ. We want this because when our thoughts or actions start taking us in a direction opposite of the gospel of Christ, our friend or confidant will speak up and tell us, “Hey you are wrong there!!!! You are going down the wrong path!!!!! You are headed in the wrong direction!!!!!!” Also we want to to be able to present Christ just and right before people. We do this by living by what the bible says. We do this by people seeing Christ in us; in our actions and in our speech. Our friends and confidants help us to do this. People in groups are often influenced by the others in the group to act a certain way and to talk a certain way. We should influence each other to do good, to follow Christ example, to stay strong in Christ in the midst of controversy and adversity. We should choose people who are going to keep us on the path of righteousness and not pull us astray doing the wrong things. A good friend looks out for our well being in this world and the world to come. This is why the righteous choose their friends carefully.
The wicked make friends for different reasons. They may make friends because it may help their career to be associated with these people. These may be doing everything but living a Christian life. The wicked will not interfere. They do not care how their employer is living; just continue to give them their check. In order for them to get their check they may have to join these people in their wickedness. They begin to believe this is not so bad what they are doing. It is bad because it goes against the will of God. They may be driving nice cars and living in big homes, wearing nice clothes, and their children may attend the best private schools. They appear to have no worries or cares but one day they are going to have to leave this world. There is a heaven and there is a hell. We are going to one or the other. Choose ye this day where you are going. I would like to share this story with you from the bible. It is about the rich man and Lazarus.
Luke 16:19-31 New International Version (NIV)
The Rich Man and Lazarus
19 “There was a rich man who was dressed in purple and fine linen and lived in luxury every day. 20 At his gate was laid a beggar named Lazarus, covered with sores 21 and longing to eat what fell from the rich man’s table. Even the dogs came and licked his sores.
22 “The time came when the beggar died and the angels carried him to Abraham’s side. The rich man also died and was buried. 23 In Hades, where he was in torment, he looked up and saw Abraham far away, with Lazarus by his side. 24 So he called to him, ‘Father Abraham, have pity on me and send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, because I am in agony in this fire.’
25 “But Abraham replied, ‘Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, while Lazarus received bad things, but now he is comforted here and you are in agony. 26 And besides all this, between us and you a great chasm has been set in place, so that those who want to go from here to you cannot, nor can anyone cross over from there to us.’
27 “He answered, ‘Then I beg you, father, send Lazarus to my family, 28 for I have five brothers. Let him warn them, so that they will not also come to this place of torment.’
29 “Abraham replied, ‘They have Moses and the Prophets; let them listen to them.’
30 “‘No, father Abraham,’ he said, ‘but if someone from the dead goes to them, they will repent.’
31 “He said to him, ‘If they do not listen to Moses and the Prophets, they will not be convinced even if someone rises from the dead.’”
Lazarus time on earth was not good. He had a very rough life. He probably could’ve connected with some wicked people who could have given him some conveniences to make this life easier but he didn’t. He remained loyal and faithful to God Yahweh. There were probably church people that even questioned if he was saved. He doesn’t look saved. He doesn’t look like a Christian. What does a saved person look like? What does a Christian look like? I guess people would say they look like the man dressed in purple and fine linen but look where he ended up; in hell he opened his eyes.
James 2:3-7 New International Version (NIV)
3 If you show special attention to the man wearing fine clothes and say, “Here’s a good seat for you,” but say to the poor man, “You stand there” or “Sit on the floor by my feet,” 4 have you not discriminated among yourselves and become judges with evil thoughts?
5 Listen, my dear brothers and sisters: Has not God chosen those who are poor in the eyes of the world to be rich in faith and to inherit the kingdom he promised those who love him? 6 But you have dishonored the poor. Is it not the rich who are exploiting you? Are they not the ones who are dragging you into court? 7 Are they not the ones who are blaspheming the noble name of him to whom you belong?
Only God can judge people. God sees people in their entirety. He knows the person. He knows the good that they do and He knows the bad. We can’t look at people and think they are good because they were name brand clothes and the latest fashions. The world judges people by what they can see. God judges correctly because He sees and knows everything about the person. God is looking at more than just their appearance. He is looking at their heart. You may say what does this have to do with friendships. Well, Lazarus had the best friend he could’ve had and that is Father God (Yahweh) himself.
“Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.”
Lazarus was like the eagle. Eagles don’t follow the crowd. Eagles don’t get messed up in other people’s sins. Eagles fly alone. There are going to be times on our Christian journey when we are going to have to go the extra mile for Jesus and we may have to do that alone. It may look like we are alone but, no we are never truly alone. Our God Yahweh is with us every step of the way. He helps us to make to the end of our Christian journey.
Don’t be like the chicken who is always in a coop with other chickens flapping their wings, clucking and flapping their wings, fighting for food and pecking other chickens in their head.
Learn to be like the eagle. These birds are very powerful and majestic. The eagle lives life with passion and with a purpose. Live like the eagle. Amen!!!!!!!!!
It takes courage to follow the Holy Spirit. We step out of the ordinary into the super ordinary when we follow the Spirit. Things happen that don’t normally happen. It breaks the routine of things. It interrupts our schedule. It breaks up the mundane. It’s almost like a special news bulletin that interrupts your normal television schedule. “We interrupt this broadcast for a special news bulletin from NBC news”. Well this is Keicha Gates interrupting your normal ordinary day with a special update from God himself; the update is that “God loves you and is leading you out of dangerous situations and difficult circumstances”. God will lead us, if we allow Him to take the lead. Let us come to the realization that we can not see very far ahead of us. God sees everything and knows everything. If we listen to Him and follow the direction of the Holy Ghost we can avoid meeting the wrong people and going to the wrong places. This is why some of us are having difficulties in our lives now. We were in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Lets look at King David shall we. King David did not go to war with the men but stayed in Jerusalem. Bad decision!!!!!!! One evening King David got up and went to the rooftop of the palace; from the rooftop he saw a beautiful woman, Bathsheba, bathing. He sent messengers to go and get her. David had sexual relations with Bathsheba and she went back to her home. Later Bathsheba got word to King David that she was pregnant.
2 Samuel 11:2-5 New International Version (NIV)
2 One evening David got up from his bed and walked around on the roof of the palace. From the roof he saw a woman bathing. The woman was very beautiful,3 and David sent someone to find out about her. The man said, “She is Bathsheba, the daughter of Eliam and the wife of Uriah the Hittite.” 4 Then David sent messengers to get her. She came to him, and he slept with her. (Now she was purifying herself from her monthly uncleanness.) Then she went back home. 5 The woman conceived and sent word to David, saying, “I am pregnant.”
David was in a jam. He had been in the wrong place, at the wrong time, with the wrong somebody. What was David going to do? David started scheming and plotting. He asked that Bathsheba husband, Uriah the Hittite, be sent to him. King David wanted him to sleep with his wife so everyone would think this baby was his baby but Uriah did not sleep with Bathsheba. Instead he slept at the entrance of the palace with all the other master servants (2 Samuel 11:9). Uriah did not feel this was the right thing to do since the men were sleeping out in open fields. Why should he go home to wine and dine and sleep with his wife.
Next King David had him to dine and eat with him. David got him drunk. Uriah still did not go home to be with Bathsheba. Instead he slept on the mat among his masters servants.
King David was failing miserably. He finally wrote a note to Joab, commander of David armies, and sent it with Uriah. The note commanded that Uriah be put on the front lines where the fighting is the fiercest and withdraw from him so he will be struck down and killed (2 Samuel 11:14-15).
David had become reckless, thoughtless, careless, murderous, lustful, and unwise. All because he was at the wrong place, at the wrong time, with the wrong person. David thought he had gotten away with this but God was not going to let David get away with it. God sent the prophet Nathan to visit King David. Nathan told King David a story.
“There were two men in a certain town, one rich and the other poor. 2 The rich man had a very large number of sheep and cattle, 3 but the poor man had nothing except one little ewe lamb he had bought. He raised it, and it grew up with him and his children. It shared his food, drank from his cup and even slept in his arms. It was like a daughter to him.
4 “Now a traveler came to the rich man, but the rich man refrained from taking one of his own sheep or cattle to prepare a meal for the traveler who had come to him. Instead, he took the ewe lamb that belonged to the poor man and prepared it for the one who had come to him.”
5 David burned with anger against the man and said to Nathan, “As surely as the Lord lives, the man who did this must die! 6 He must pay for that lamb four times over, because he did such a thing and had no pity.”
7 Then Nathan said to David, “You are the man! This is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says: ‘I anointed you king over Israel, and I delivered you from the hand of Saul. 8 I gave your master’s house to you, and your master’s wives into your arms. I gave you all Israel and Judah. And if all this had been too little, I would have given you even more. 9 Why did you despise the word of the Lord by doing what is evil in his eyes? You struck down Uriah the Hittite with the sword and took his wife to be your own. You killed him with the sword of the Ammonites. 10 Now, therefore, the sword will never depart from your house, because you despised me and took the wife of Uriah the Hittite to be your own.’
11 “This is what the Lord says: ‘Out of your own household I am going to bring calamity on you. Before your very eyes I will take your wives and give them to one who is close to you, and he will sleep with your wives in broad daylight. 12 You did it in secret, but I will do this thing in broad daylight before all Israel.’” ( 2 Samuel 12:1-12)
It may look like people are getting away with sin but truly they are not because God sees everything. In David’s sinful actions, he forgot all about God. It took the prophet, a person who was not afraid of David’s position of authority to correct him and see the error of his ways. God is over kings, emperors, queens, sultans, pharaohs, princes, princesses, czars, dukes and all people of positions of authority. God is over them all. God is King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Everything and everybody comes under his dominion. God rules and reign. Remember that when you think that high officials in this country or another country are getting away with things. God will bring them back to reality. Amen.
People living in today’s society are not interested in what the bible has to say. They live their life according to their standards and what makes them feel good. The bible is the corrector of man kind. We can not just believe anything and everything and expect to make into heaven. There is one way and that is through Jesus. If we try to make it any other kind of way, we are a thief and a robber.
John 10:1 21st Century King James Version (KJ21)
10 “Verily, verily I say unto you, he that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber.
There are people who want to always be in charge, always be in control when truly they shouldn’t because they are serving their own self interests and not thinking of the welfare of others. During Jesus time these people were Scribes and Pharisees. They did not acknowledge Jesus nor listen to His teachings. Jesus was bothersome to them because He did things they way God wanted things done. Jesus had compassion for people that the Scribes and Pharisees cared nothing about. There was only a certain sect or clique of people they were concerned with and that was the wealthy. They were not concerned with people who were outside their social status or income bracket. The Scribes and the Pharisees made sure they wealthy were taken care of while others had to fend for themselves.
Today, really this what the world does. There is a saying that if you scratch my back, I’ll scratch yours. All this means is that that if they help you, you will help them.
This is worldly thinking. God wants us to help if we have the ability to help someone. We should never look to get help back from the person we helped. God will reward us for what we do.
Colossians 3:23-24 21st Century King James Version (KJ21)
23 And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not unto men,
24 knowing that from the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance, for ye serve the Lord Christ.
Externally the Scribes and Pharisees were extremely holy but inwardly they were carnal sinful people. True Christians are not concerned with getting approval from people. There are those who are always concerned about how they are perceived by other people. People may say they are good when actually they are terrible and rotten to the core. God sees what man can not. There are those who know all the pretense of acting holy without actually being holy. Then there are those who obey and do what the Lord says. The bible has top priority in their lives and it is seen in their lives. In today’s world people will be ostracized, talked about, and laughed at for listening to Jesus but God tells great is our reward in heaven.
Matthew 5:11-12 21st Century King James Version (KJ21)
11 Blessed are ye when men shall revile you and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely for My sake.
12 Rejoice and be exceeding glad, for great is your reward in Heaven; for so persecuted they the prophets who were before you.
Really we should smile when this happens because that means we are doing something right. They would not be talking about us so badly if our life was not having an real impact on the world and on those who are living around us. Continue to listen to Jesus. Continue to listen to His words. There is life with Jesus; without Him there is only death.
Prayer: Father thank you for your Son Jesus who came to this earth doing what you asked Him; destroying the works of the devil. Father help your church to not be intimidated or afraid to listen your Son Jesus words and to act upon His Words. When we move when you tell us to move and say what you tell us to say a difference is seen and known. There are people Lord who are hurting and have no way out but Jesus. It’s Jesus or nothing. Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever (Hebrews 13:8). He is the same Lord that made a path through the Red Sea and the children of Israel walked on dry ground. He is the same Lord that made the manna fall from the sky so the children of Israel would have food to eat. He is the same Lord that made the walls of Jericho fall down. Nothing is too hard for God and nothing is impossible with God. Father God (Yahweh) help people to turn to Jesus. Help them turn from doing things there way to your way. Jesus is the way, the truth and the life (John 14:6). Amen!!!!!!
Hello people, I want to talk to you today about craving God’s Word. When we think about the word craving, probably more than likely we are craving something unhealthy for us; something we do not need. People rarely crave apples, oranges, grapes, and grapefruit. These kind of foods are healthy and nutritious for us and help our bodies to function like they should.
The Word of God is healthy and nutritious for our mind, body, soul, and spirit.
The Word of God helps us to build healthy relationships with people and to be a better person. It helps us to progress and move forward in life.
Philippians 3:13-14 New International Version (NIV)
13 Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, 14 I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.
The Word of God heals wounds we receive from others who speak carelessly.
Jeremiah 30:17 New International Version (NIV)
17 But I will restore you to health
and heal your wounds,’
declares the Lord,
‘because you are called an outcast,
Zion for whom no one cares.’
The Word of God teaches us to forgive.
Colossians 3:13 New International Version (NIV)
13 Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.
The Word of God gives us purpose.
Exodus 9:16 New International Version (NIV)
16 But I have raised you up for this very purpose, that I might show you my power and that my name might be proclaimed in all the earth.
Life is not empty and meaningless anymore. We have a reason to get up every morning. Our life is about honoring God with our thoughts and actions and obeying what He has asked us to do.
The Word of God causes us to grow spiritually.
1 Peter 2:2 New International Version (NIV)
2 Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation,
We do not look at the life the same anymore. Life is better. The more we understand; the more of God we desire.
The Word of God causes anxiety and fears to disappear.
Psalm 34:4 New International Version (NIV)
4 I sought the Lord, and he answered me;
he delivered me from all my fears.
The Word of God causes us to overcome.
1 John 5:4 New International Version (NIV)
4 for everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith.
Revelation 12:11 King James Version (KJV)
11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.
The Word of God brings us comfort.
2 Corinthians 1:3-4 King James Version (KJV)
3 Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort;
4 Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.
The Word of God gives us divine direction.
Proverbs 3:6 King James Version (KJV)
6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
The Word of God gives us life.
James 1:18 New International Version (NIV)
18 He chose to give us birth through the word of truth, that we might be a kind of first fruits of all he created.
The Word of God gives us wisdom.
Proverbs 2:6 New International Version (NIV)
6 For the Lord gives wisdom;
from his mouth come knowledge and understanding.
The Word of God gives us all this. Let us learn to crave this instead of something hasty and quick. Good things come to those who wait. Oh one more thing.
The Word of God gives us patience.
Romans 15:4-5 King James Version (KJV)
4 For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.
5 Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be likeminded one toward another according to Christ Jesus:
