We Are Christ’s Ambassadors

2 Corinthians 5:20 New International Version (NIV)

20 We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God.

God has made reconciliation through Christ.

Colossians 1:20 Christian Standard Bible (CSB)

20 and through him to reconcile
everything to himself,
whether things on earth or things in heaven,
by making peace
through his blood, shed on the cross.

God brought everything and everybody back to Him by the blood Jesus shed on the cross. The whole was alienated from Him. God desired fellowship with His creation and everything that he made but because of sin there was separation. Now fellowship can take place again if people receive the sacrifice Jesus made on the cross. The word of reconciliation has been committed to the ambassadors.  The word (the scripture) has been entrusted to faithful and committed people who make every effort to make known God’s love and forgiveness of sins.

God the offended party is seeking reconciliation not the ones who did the offending. It was the love for his enemies that God sought them. God’s love is tremendous. HE wants everyone who will to receive this gospel. The gospel is a life jacket to a drowning person. This world with all its corruption and filth has nothing to offer. The world may try to make sin appealing but in the end it all leads to death. Death for an unbeliever is eternal separation from GOD which is what GOD does not want.

Romans 8:7 Christian Standard Bible (CSB)

The mind-set of the flesh is hostile to God because it does not submit to God’s law. Indeed, it is unable to do so.

James 4:4 Christian Standard Bible (CSB)

You adulterous people! Don’t you know that friendship with the world is hostility toward God? So whoever wants to be the friend of the world becomes the enemy of God.

1 John 2:15 Christian Standard Bible (CSB)

A Warning about the World

15 Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

Jesus in his High Priest role is praying and interceding for people who have not received Him as Lord and Savior.  We are all under God’s control and care even if we do not want admit it. The world and the entire universe belongs to God.  We are small, weak and frail compared to our GOD. Yet HE is still patient with us. He is giving us chance after chance to receive Him.

Luke 23:34 Christian Standard Bible (CSB)

34 Then Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, because they do not know what they are doing.”

He is still praying for us even when people lied on Him and had Him crucified for doing what pleased GOD. God’s will was important Jesus and He made sure to do it. He wasn’t worried so much about it fitting in with what the Pharisees and Sadducees did.  They were more concerned with position, looking good in front of others, greed and lusting for money. These things were far from Jesus mind. God’s will for Jesus was Him dying on the cross for the sins of people. Jesus paid for sin with His blood. If people receive this, they can have fellowship and be reconciled to the Father which is what Father God wants.

2 Corinthians 5:21 Christian Standard Bible (CSB)

21 He made the one who did not know sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.

Now GOD desires for the world to come to Him. He desires for them to release, turn loose, and repent of sin. He desires his people to made new creatures in Christ Jesus, old things are passed away ( 2 Corinthians 5:17). We are now created in Christ Jesus for good works. Lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes, and pride of life are not things that we pursue anymore. We are looking for that new heaven and that new earth God promised us.

Revelation 21:1 Christian Standard Bible (CSB)

The New Creation

21 Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more.

God makes all things new. This is why God is coming after the people that he created because he knows that this world is going to one day pass away and will not be here anymore.

I urge you today if you have not received the Lord Jesus today, change your mind before it is too late. Receive His salvation today. He will help us in this life and in the life to come. There is life after death with Jesus. There is eternal life which is the best life to have. Amen!!!!!!!!!!!!

What is truth?

John 18:38 Common English Bible (CEB)

38 “What is truth?” Pilate asked.

After Pilate said this, he returned to the Jewish leaders and said, “I find no grounds for any charge against him.

And that should have been the end of it but Pilate as he listened to the Jews accusations of Jesus began to care less and less about truth and began worrying about what would happen to him if he didn’t crucify Jesus. When we meet Jesus there are things that we begin to confront in ourselves. Pilate was finding out what kind of person he was in just this short amount of time with Jesus. Pilate was not looking good. This happens to all of us when we are confronted with Jesus. We begin to see those things that Jesus see. If we receive Jesus, we begin working on these things that do not make us look good and pleasing before God what is what he wants us to do. This is the truth people.

People today no longer have a publicly acknowledged standard of truth. Falsehood is proclaimed and eagerly accepted. Why is this? Because falsehood allows things contrary to the truth. If we know truth, then we should follow truth. Jesus is the truth. Listen to Him. Follow Jesus. Listen to the words of the bible and live. These are the words of eternal life.

John 6:54 King James Version (KJV)

54 Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.

This is the person who believes and has faith in Jesus atoning sacrifice that He made on the cross. We have life in Him when we do so.

John 6:55-56 Contemporary English Version (CEV)

55 My flesh is the true food, and my blood is the true drink. 56 If you eat my flesh and drink my blood, you are one with me, and I am one with you.

Jesus wants people to come to Him, to believe in Him, and have fellowship with Him. He wants us to confront those things that separate us from God, whatever sins we are participating in, and quit doing them. Jesus will help us deal with our sins. Jesus does not desire sin to have control of you. God’s children are not slaves of the devil.

Romans 6:12-14 Easy-to-Read Version (ERV)

12 But don’t let sin control your life here on earth. You must not be ruled by the things your sinful self makes you want to do. 13 Don’t offer the parts of your body to serve sin. Don’t use your bodies to do evil, but offer yourselves to God, as people who have died and now live. Offer the parts of your body to God to be used for doing good.14 Sin will not be your master, because you are not under law. You now live under God’s grace.

Many of the people with Jesus at this time said this was a hard saying.

John 6:60 King James Version (KJV)

60 Many therefore of his disciples, when they had heard this, said, This is an hard saying; who can hear it?

It is hard because they would have to learn to live their life a different way. Their life would not be about them anymore, it would be all about God. There would be no fulfilling of the flesh. They would have to learn to live in the Spirit.

John 6:63 King James Version (KJV)

63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.

We have life, eternal life, when we learn to live this way.  You will not be missing anything in this fleshly carnal life. All things will be made new.

Revelation 21:1 Contemporary English Version (CEV)

The New Heaven and the New Earth

21 I saw a new heaven and a new earth. The first heaven and the first earth had disappeared, and so had the sea.

2 Corinthians 5:17 Contemporary English Version (CEV)

17 Anyone who belongs to Christ is a new person. The past is forgotten, and everything is new.

Oh by the way, this is the truth. It is the truth because it is infallible Word of God. Wikipedia says Biblical infallibility is the belief that what the Bible says regarding matters of faith and Christian practice is wholly useful and true. It is the “belief that the Bible is completely trustworthy as a guide to salvation and the life of faith and will not fail to accomplish its purpose.

God does not fail us. What He promised us shall come to pass. The bible is real and reliable and believable. God is asking us to live a life of faith.

Hebrews 11:1 King James Version (KJV)

11 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Proverbs 3:13 Common English Bible (CEB)

Value of wisdom

13 Happy are those who find wisdom
    and those who gain understanding.

John 13:17 Easy-to-Read Version (ERV)

17 If you know these things, great blessings will be yours if you do them.

When God asks us to do things that we think are hard God wants to do something we can’t. We realize that God is going to have to do this, if He wants this done. We start listening and paying attention waiting for when God wants us act. God wants to use us today church. We exist to please Him and do so gladly. When you realize your life is not your own but belongs to God, God will begin to use you in the earth realm.

God changes our character into His character when we go through difficulties, trials, and tribulations. We seek Him for answers and become more dependent on Him for solutions. Difficulties makes us more like Jesus.

Again this is the truth. Believe and read your bible. Amen!!!!!!!!

God’s Word Produces Holy Living

Galatians 5:18-25 New International Version (NIV)

18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.

19 The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; 20 idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions 21 and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. 24 Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. 25 Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.

Those who have crucified the flesh do not live in the flesh but live in the Spirit. We have crucified our flesh in Christ.

Galatians 5:24 New International Version (NIV)

24 Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.

We are to do this daily. We belong to Christ and our body belong to Christ. We honor Christ in our body by doing those things that are pleasing to Him.

Romans 8:13-14 New International Version (NIV)

13 For if you live according to the flesh, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live.

14 For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God.

God’s children live by the Spirit that God has given to us freely. We are His and live a life that is His. Our life is no longer ours. We no longer do what we want to do. We are no longer carnal and doing what the flesh wants to do. We are Spiritual and doing those things that the Spirit of God would have us to to. To live carnally is live a life that leads to death; eternal death, separation from the Father. This kind of living includes sexual immorality and fornication (sex outside of marriage) which is not pleasing to God; debauchery which is habitual and unrestrained  lust and sensuality. God is not pleased with this kind of living; having idols (things that take the place of God) are not pleasing to God. Having hatred in our heart, discord (conflict, hostility, and ill will) against people, being jealous against our brothers and sisters and other people and fits of rage against people; God is not pleased with this. God does not like selfish ambition (always looking out for one’s self interests); dissensions (speech inciting people to rebel against God), factions (a small organized dissenting group within politics) and envy (desire to have a quality or possession that someone has), drunkenness (drinking until you have loss self control) orgies and the like (unrestrained sexual activity). These things lead to eternal punishment. If we are caught up in these things then we need to turn which is repent and come back to the Father.

There may be people saying you can live your life any kind of way and still make it into the kingdom of heaven. This is not true. We have to live as we have been told by the bible. The bible leads us to heaven if we follow and keep God’s word.

Revelation 21:27 New International Version (NIV)

27 Nothing impure will ever enter it, nor will anyone who does what is shameful or deceitful, but only those whose names are written in the Lamb’s book of life.

God is giving people opportunity now to come to Him for repentance before it is too late. The Lord is coming back for His church.

2 Peter 3:9-10 New International Version (NIV)

The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.

10 But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything done in it will be laid bare.

He’s coming back for His church. Those who have heard His words, listened, and prepared themselves for His return will make it to Heaven.

Matthew 25:1-13 New International Version (NIV)

The Parable of the Ten Virgins

25 “At that time the kingdom of heaven will be like ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. Five of them were foolish and five were wise. The foolish ones took their lamps but did not take any oil with them. The wise ones, however, took oil in jars along with their lamps. The bridegroom was a long time in coming, and they all became drowsy and fell asleep.

“At midnight the cry rang out: ‘Here’s the bridegroom! Come out to meet him!’

“Then all the virgins woke up and trimmed their lamps. The foolish ones said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil; our lamps are going out.’

“‘No,’ they replied, ‘there may not be enough for both us and you. Instead, go to those who sell oil and buy some for yourselves.’

10 “But while they were on their way to buy the oil, the bridegroom arrived. The virgins who were ready went in with him to the wedding banquet. And the door was shut.

11 “Later the others also came. ‘Lord, Lord,’ they said, ‘open the door for us!’

12 “But he replied, ‘Truly I tell you, I don’t know you.’

13 “Therefore keep watch, because you do not know the day or the hour.

Don’t be like the ones who cannot enter but be like the ones who were expecting the Lord to come back just like He promised and was ready when He arrived.

Revelation 22:14-16 English Standard Version (ESV)

14 Blessed are those who wash their robes, so that they may have the right to the tree of life and that they may enter the city by the gates. 15 Outside are the dogs and sorcerers and the sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters, and everyone who loves and practices falsehood.

16 “I, Jesus, have sent my angel to testify to you about these things for the churches. I am the root and the descendant of David, the bright morning star.”

God does force his truth on anyone. We are given the choice to receive Him, to receive His salvation. If they wish not to receive the truth God will give them over to their wicked passions.

Romans 1:27-29 King James Version (KJV)

27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.

28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;

29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,

If we do not desire the truth God will give us exactly what we desire and we will suffer the consequences of our choice.

Receive God’s salvation today. Receive his forgiveness of sins and live a life in eternity with God instead of living a life tormened in Hell.

GOD Will See Us Through

to_write_love_on_him_3_by_vortexgrey

1 Peter 3:17-22 New International Version (NIV)

17 For it is better, if it is God’s will, to suffer for doing good than for doing evil. 18 For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. He was put to death in the body but made alive in the Spirit. 19 After being made alive, he went and made proclamation to the imprisoned spirits— 20 to those who were disobedient long ago when God waited patiently in the days of Noah while the ark was being built. In it only a few people, eight in all, were saved through water, 21 and this water symbolizes baptism that now saves you also—not the removal of dirt from the body but the pledge of a clear conscience toward God. It saves you by the resurrection of Jesus Christ, 22 who has gone into heaven and is at God’s right hand—with angels, authorities and powers in submission to him.

Christians living in this world, we will have to go through, if we are going to have to suffer, let us suffer for doing something good instead of evil.

GOD wishes for His church to have mature Christians who can handle going through for Him. He needs people He can make a request and not worry about it getting done because its going to make them look bad or make the wrong impression.

When we become Christians our flesh dies. We do not live to make ourselves look good before other people. That should not be our primary goal. Our primary goal is looking good before Father God. We must realize there are some things that God may ask of us that may make us look a bit crazy to the world. Let us be assured that GOD sees everything and knows everything. We only see and know in part.  We believe God will reveal what we need to see and know to perform the task that He is asking of us. We know that God will not lead us astray but will lead us straight to victory every time.

James 1:2-4 New International Version (NIV)

Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.

Whenever we go through trials and tribulations it builds and strengthens our trust in GOD. This is his goal to have people who know that their GOD is able and can do all things anytime, anywhere. That’s the kind of God we serve. He did it in times of old and He is able to do it during our current present time. Where is your faith church? Nothing is too hard for our GOD. He can handle your tough time. He can handle your situation. Turn it over to Him and wait for Him to answer. Do not doubt that He will answer. Know that it is already dealt with. GOD will be answering you on how to handle your difficult circumstance. How can I be so sure? Because He has done so for me many times before. GOD is a prayer answering God.

Isaiah 65:24 New International Version (NIV)

24 Before they call I will answer;
while they are still speaking I will hear.

John 15:7 New International Version (NIV)

If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.

1 John 5:14-15 New International Version (NIV)

14 This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. 15 And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him.

Micah 7:7 New International Version (NIV)

But as for me, I watch in hope for the Lord,
    I wait for God my Savior;
    my God will hear me.

God will hear and answer your prayer every single time.

1 Kings 17:21-22 New International Version (NIV)

21 Then he stretched himself out on the boy three times and cried out to the Lord, “Lord my God, let this boy’s life return to him!”

22 The Lord heard Elijah’s cry, and the boy’s life returned to him, and he lived.

Prayers are not always just for yourself. Sometimes our prayers need to be for others. We can show God how much faith we have in Him by not worrying about ourselves but praying for those who may not know that God has everything already under control. This is what He’s looking for. People who have prayed believing that God has heard them and is working on their behalf for what they have requested. While we are waiting for an answer to our prayer we begin praying for our brothers and sisters whose faith may not be as strong. We just continue praying believing that God hears the petition and we wait for the outcome of the prayer. We should never pray and think that God has discarded or thrown our prayer to the side as unimportant. All prayers are important to God. Nothing is tossed or thrown to the side. We are respected and loved by GOD. This is what He wants, to spend time with us. He loves us oh so much. He desires fellowship and relationship with His people. He desires to be close to us; not estranged from Him. He does not want us to be afraid to come to Him.

GOD is enthusiastically passionate about His family. He is attached to His loved ones. He cares deeply for His children. When they hurt, HE hurts. He wants to see his children joyful and blessed. He wants to see us enthusiastically passionate about Him; about spending time with Him in prayer, worship, or praise. GOD loves this. He loves it when we excitedly talk about Him to another person.  Okay I know Christianity is not very popular right now.  GOD loves us still the same. The devil who is full of deceit and lies is cunning and crafty to portray the church misleadingly. Many people can not stand to be seen as anything but a good person but when we are truly submitted unto GOD sometimes the devil will cause the true Christians to look bad. When this happens we just need to continue to trust in the Lord and let Him handle the situation. We will be exonerated and the truth will come shining forth.

Proverbs 4:18 New International Version (NIV)

18 The path of the righteous is like the morning sun,
shining ever brighter till the full light of day.

Daniel 12:3 New International Version (NIV)

Those who are wise will shine like the brightness of the heavens, and those who lead many to righteousness, like the stars for ever and ever.

Matthew 13:43 New International Version (NIV)

43 Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Whoever has ears, let them hear.

People don’t be afraid to go through for the Lord. Don’t be afraid to do the things that He asks. Those who are really truly working in God’s kingdom cause great distress to the devil. That is why he causes trouble for you. Just look at the works of Jesus; healing blinded eyes, the lame walking, the dead being raised, healing a withered hand, healing a paralyzed man, healing people with leprosy, restoring a severed ear, and ascension of Jesus into heaven. The devil was really distressed by what Jesus was doing.  The devil thought he was getting rid of Jesus when he had him crucified him but Jesus only rose to greater stature and greater glory because he endured the cross.  When we go through for GOD, just like with Jesus, that is only going to make us rise to a higher position in God and the church. Jesus trusted that GOD would see Him through and the church needs to trust that GOD will see us through difficult moments also. This is the kind of mindset we as Christians need to have today, whatever we may be facing or whatever we may be going through; believe that GOD will see us through. Amen!!!!!!!!

Holy Holy Holy

isaiah_1_18_by_janus3003-d8hztan

People of the world have questions today. One question they may be asking, “Is it really necessary for people to be holy?” If we belong to God then we are meant to be holy. God has called us to live a life of holiness to Him.

1 Thessalonians 4:7 New Life Version (NLV)

For God has not called us to live in sin. He has called us to live a holy life.

This means that you do not live your life like everybody else. You are not looking for ways to gratify fleshly pleasures. GOD is aware of what we need for the day so it should not be first in our mind. We should have such assurance in our GOD that everyone we meet or come in contact with today will be influenced by our GOD. We know this because we wake up every morning with our mind on Jesus. We are not worried about daily tasks, we are not worried about who likes us or not, we are not worried about what’s on the news. All we know is that this is the day that the LORD has made and everything the LORD makes is good. We are not looking for bad things to happen, only good. We are positive people with a good outlook on life. GOD our Father has only good things for His children.

Matthew 7:11 King James Version (KJV)

11 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?

GOD’s children do not ask amiss, knowing the Father and what delights and pleases Him, His children ask just right.

Matthew 21:22 King James Version (KJV)

22 And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.

Matthew 7:7 King James Version (KJV)

Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:

John 8:31 King James Version (KJV)

31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;

That what we have learned, let us continue. GOD is constantly at work using us to encourage and move people in a the right relationship with Him. GOD is working to move people out of darkness into the marvelous light and away from the influence of Satan. GOD has begun a mighty work with us. People think it has a lot to do with what we say. Sometimes its what we do not say that has more of an impact on people. You may have a reason to argue, fuss and fight but you choose not to. You chose to keep your mouth shut and let God straighten out the mess. The devil loves arguing, bickering and fighting. When we do not follow him, we mess up his plans. Instead of hatred people start loving. A stressful situation becomes less tense. Things return back to normal. All because you decided you were not going to follow behind the devil. Someone was affected. We often think things go unnoticed. Someone watched and saw how you handled a difficult situation in a Christ like manner. Your faith, your belief in GOD touched people. This is what it is all about; getting people to believe in Christ. What should people believe?

  1. One GOD – There is one GOD composed of three distinct persons; God the Father, Jesus Christ the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
  2. God created the world – Genesis of the bible plainly explains how God spoke this world into existence.
  3. Jesus, God’s Son – Jesus Christ is the only way to salvation and forgiveness of sins. Jesus was crucified, dead, and buried but on the third day, Jesus arose from the dead with all power in his hands and now sits on the right hand of God the Father Almighty, from thence He shall come to judge the living and the dead.
  4. The Bible – This is a holy book that contains God inspired Word and is used as a guide for faithful living to God.
  5. Sin – People are born into sin because of Adam’s disobedience of eating from the tree of knowledge in the garden of Eden. Sin separates people from God. We can only be reconciled back to Father God by the blood of Jesus that washes our sins away.
  6. Salvation – Repentance of sins, belief in Jesus Christ, his crucifixion, his death, his burial, and his resurrection
  7. Afterlife – Believe that there is a heaven and a hell. Those who have believed the gospel and received Christ as their Savior go to heaven. Those who have not believed the gospel and rejected Jesus Christ as their Savior go to Hell.

Jesus makes the difference. Christian faith works. People need to see people believing in the Lord and Savior through good and the rough times. He is still God in both. God is there with us through everything. He promised He would never leave or forsake us (Hebrews 13:5). His promises are a sure foundation to stand on during tumultuous times. Don’t turn your back on God today. He has not forgotten you. Where is your faith? Amen……………

Prayer

Father in your Son Jesus name

I come before you Lord, asking that you help us Lord to love our enemies

Father it is easy to hate

when we think about the things that were said and the things that were done

we can sometimes feel justified in our anger

but Lord we know in your bible You say Vengeance is mine, I shall repay (Romans 12:19)

So Lord all those who have wronged us and misused us we put them in your care

and we continue the work you have given us to do.

Father we do this faithfully because You were our example and You did your work faithfully.

Father we know that your work bring results

Father we give you top priority in our life

and we wait patiently for the complete fulfilling of your bible

since you are not a man that You should lie.

What you said Lord will come to pass just like you said.

Matthew 5:18 King James Version (KJV) says

18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

Father we thank you that our eyes are open to the truth, Your truth is Jesus

The world may not understand but your people understand

Jesus is the entryway into heaven.

We thank God for Jesus today! We thank God for Jesus today! We thank God for Jesus today!

Amen!!!!!!!!!!!

Jesus is The Captain of My Soul

3bb56d1b5a38e817e8fd9b1d59bf2859

How many of us know this today? Jesus is the captain, He is the boss, He is the Chief Executive Officer, He is the man in charge, He is Lord, He is Rock, and He is Redeemer. When we confess with our mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in our heart that God raised Him from the dead our life is not our own anymore. We have just given our mind, will, and emotions over to God (Yahweh). I tell you there is a contentment that passes all understanding once you turn your life over to God. We just allow God to steer us in the direction that He wants us to follow. We quit listening to outside sources: celebrities, friends, television, family, films, movies, books, and experts and just focus totally and completely on God for what He would have us to do.

Our soul belongs to God now. I do not have a long definition for soul. My definition is simply the mind, will, and emotions of a person. Our mind is now like Jesus mind.

Philippians 2:5 King James Version (KJV)

Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:

This means our mind agrees with God’s mind in everything. We are in unison with every decision God makes. We do not argue. We do not bicker. We do not complain. We know that God has all knowledge and all wisdom and we trust His choices and decisions he has made regarding us even when we may not understand or see how this is going to happen. God operates above our intellect. We trust in the intellect of our God (Yahweh).

Our will is now like Jesus will. It molds and shapes into what God desires for our life. God’s desire for Jesus was for Him to die on the cross. Even though Jesus knew it would be painful, He said:

Luke 22:42 New International Version (NIV)

42 “Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me; yet not my will, but yours be done.”

If we want to make it into heaven we must be willing to do what God desires. Things may not always be easy but God will help us to do the things He desires.

It is not hard to know the Lord’s will. I have heard people say “If it’s the Lord’s will” or “if the Lord’s will”. God tells us plainly in his Word what He wants from us; what He desires of us. Christians say this sometimes to get out of doing what God would have them to do.

*One thing that is His will is that He wants us all saved.

John 6:40 Common English Bible (CEB)

40 This is my Father’s will: that all who see the Son and believe in him will have eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day.”

*It is his will for us to be His sons through Jesus Christ.

Ephesians 1:5-12 American Standard Version (ASV)

having foreordained us unto adoption as sons through Jesus Christ unto himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, to the praise of the glory of his grace, which he freely bestowed on us in the Beloved: in whom we have our redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace, which he made to abound toward us in all wisdom and prudence, making known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he purposed in him 10 unto a dispensation of the fulness of the times, to sum up all things in Christ, the things in the heavens, and the things upon the earth; in him, I say,11 in whom also we were made a heritage, having been foreordained according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his will; 12 to the end that we should be unto the praise of his glory, we who had before hoped in Christ:

*God desires for us is to be obedient.

Ephesians 6:5-8 American Standard Version (ASV)

5Servants, be obedient unto them that according to the flesh are your masters, with fear and trembling, in singleness of your heart, as unto Christ; not in the way of eyeservice, as men-pleasers; but as servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart; with good will doing service, as unto the Lord, and not unto men:knowing that whatsoever good thing each one doeth, the same shall he receive again from the Lord, whether he be bond or free.

God desires that we pray unceasingly.

1 Thessalonians 5:11-18 American Standard Version (ASV)

11 Wherefore exhort one another, and build each other up, even as also ye do.

12 But we beseech you, brethren, to know them that labor among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you; 13 and to esteem them exceeding highly in love for their work’s sake. Be at peace among yourselves. 14 And we exhort you, brethren, admonish the disorderly, encourage the faint-hearted, support the weak, be longsuffering toward all. 15 See that none render unto any one evil for evil; but always follow after that which is good, one toward another, and toward all. 16 Rejoice always; 17 pray without ceasing; 18 in everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus to you-ward.

*God’s will is that His church keep sane and sober.

1 Peter 4:1-7 Revised Standard Version (RSV)

Since therefore Christ suffered in the flesh, arm yourselves with the same thought, for whoever has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin, so as to live for the rest of the time in the flesh no longer by human passions but by the will of God. Let the time that is past suffice for doing what the Gentiles like to do, living in licentiousness, passions, drunkenness, revels, carousing, and lawless idolatry. They are surprised that you do not now join them in the same wild profligacy, and they abuse you; but they will give account to him who is ready to judge the living and the dead. For this is why the gospel was preached even to the dead, that though judged in the flesh like men, they might live in the spirit like God.

The end of all things is at hand; therefore keep sane and sober for your prayers.

1 Peter 4:19 Revised Standard Version (RSV)

19 Therefore let those who suffer according to God’s will do right and entrust their souls to a faithful Creator.

*It is God’s will that we not be conformed unto this world.

1 John 2:15-17 Revised Standard Version (RSV)

15 Do not love the world or the things in the world. If any one loves the world, love for the Father is not in him. 16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the pride of life, is not of the Father but is of the world. 17 And the world passes away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides for ever.

*It is God’s will that we be a living sacrifice.

Romans 12:1-2 New International Version (NIV)

12 Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

*It is God’s will that we do not repay evil with evil.

Romans 12:17-21 New International Version (NIV)

17 Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everyone. 18 If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. 19 Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written: “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,” says the Lord. 20 On the contrary:

“If your enemy is hungry, feed him;
if he is thirsty, give him something to drink.
In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head.”

21 Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

*It is God’s will for you to be tough but patient.

Hebrews 10:35-39 New International Version (NIV)

35 So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded.

36 You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised. 37 For,

“In just a little while,
he who is coming will come
    and will not delay.”

38 And,

“But my righteous one will live by faith.
    And I take no pleasure
in the one who shrinks back.”

39 But we do not belong to those who shrink back and are destroyed, but to those who have faith and are saved.

*It is God’s will for you to be a part of God’s family.

Mark 3:35 King James Version (KJV)

35 For whosoever shall do the will of God, the same is my brother, and my sister, and mother.

*It is God’s will that we be sanctified and avoid sexual immorality.

1 Thessalonians 4:1-8 New International Version (NIV)

Living to Please God

As for other matters, brothers and sisters, we instructed you how to live in order to please God, as in fact you are living. Now we ask you and urge you in the Lord Jesus to do this more and more. For you know what instructions we gave you by the authority of the Lord Jesus.

It is God’s will that you should be sanctified: that you should avoid sexual immorality; that each of you should learn to control your own body in a way that is holy and honorable, not in passionate lust like the pagans, who do not know God; and that in this matter no one should wrong or take advantage of a brother or sister. The Lord will punish all those who commit such sins, as we told you and warned you before. For God did not call us to be impure, but to live a holy life. Therefore, anyone who rejects this instruction does not reject a human being but God, the very God who gives you his Holy Spirit.

*It is God’s will for us to be wise.

Ephesians 5:15-17 New International Version (NIV)

15 Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise,16 making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil.17 Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is.

Finally, our emotions are like Jesus emotions. We care about what God cares about. What did God care about?

He cared about people. He said they were like sheep without a shepherd.

Matthew 9:36-37 Common English Bible (CEB)

36 Now when Jesus saw the crowds, he had compassion for them because they were troubled and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.

His compassion was stirred for the physical and spiritual needs of the people. This compassion ignited and pushed Him toward the cross to deliver hurting humanity from the earth to a home in heaven away from suffering, misery, and pain. God loves us just that much. Don’t reject His love and sacrifice to live a life destined to Hell. Receive Jesus as Captain of your soul today and receive eternal life with Father God.

Amen!!!!!!!!
