Christ Reconciling Work

When people think of beauty outward appearance always comes to mind. The way people look is not really all that important. People can look beautiful physically but have a nasty attitude. There face may look beautiful but their speech and talk is mean, hateful, and cruel. Who would want to be around a person like this? The bible describes Jesus as having no beauty that we should desire him.

Isaiah 53:2 King James Version (KJV)

For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him.

Yet crowds of people came to Him. They came because of His words, His healings, and His miracles. There was no physical beauty but there was beauty how he preached and reached the people. There was beauty when the woman he told the woman who touched the hem of his garment,  “Daughter, be of good comfort; thy faith hath made thee whole” (Matthew 9:22). He didn’t say, “Woman get your dirty nasty hands off of me”. This what some of us would say today if this happened. Jesus showed compassion. He showed love. He saw the woman’s faith and responded with granting her with what she wanted. Jesus reconciled her to race of people by healing her bleeding and making her clean among the people. This is beautiful. This is what GOD does through his Son Jesus. Those who have been left out and discarded by others Jesus comes in takes care of the issue or problem and brings them back to the sheepfold of God. When He does this they are joined with their brothers and sisters in Christ. God loves oneness. God loves wholeness. He wants His family back together again. The family that has been separated by sin, hurt and bitterness caused by the enemy. God will forgive us of every pain and sin if we let Him.  Jesus has already paid the price for sin when He suffered and died on the cross.

Colossians 1:13-14 New International Version (NIV)

13 For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, 14 in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.

This is beautiful; died on the cross in our place, giving us life everlasting. All we have to do is receive it. All we have to do is believe in Christ reconciling work on the cross. Jesus saves us people from life of pain and misery in the next life. Receive Jesus today and live. Amen!!!!!!!

Eagles and Chickens Don’t Hang Together

Proverbs 12:26 New International Version (NIV)

26 The righteous choose their friends carefully,
but the way of the wicked leads them astray.

It is good these days to choose our friends wisely. We want people who have the same beliefs that we do to be our confidants and brothers and sisters in Christ. We want this because when our thoughts or actions start taking us in a direction opposite of the gospel of Christ, our friend or confidant will speak up and tell us, “Hey you are wrong there!!!! You are going down the wrong path!!!!! You are headed in the wrong direction!!!!!!” Also we want to to be able to present Christ just and right before people. We do this by living by what the bible says. We do this by people seeing Christ in us; in our actions and in our speech. Our friends and confidants help us to do this. People in groups are often influenced by the others in the group to act a certain way and to talk a certain way. We should influence each other to do good, to follow Christ example, to stay strong in Christ in the midst of controversy and adversity. We should choose people who are going to keep us on the path of righteousness and not pull us astray doing the wrong things. A good friend looks out for our well being in this world and the world to come. This is why the righteous choose their friends carefully.

The wicked make friends for different reasons. They may make friends because it may help their career to be associated with these people. These may be doing everything but living a Christian life. The wicked will not interfere. They do not care how their employer is living; just continue to give them their check. In order for them to get their check they may have to join these people in their wickedness. They begin to believe this is not so bad what they are doing. It is bad because it goes against the will of God. They may be driving nice cars and living in big homes, wearing nice clothes, and their children may attend the best private schools. They appear to have no worries or cares but one day they are going to have to leave this world. There is a heaven and there is a hell. We are going to one or the other. Choose ye this day where you are going. I would like to share this story with you from the bible. It is about the rich man and Lazarus.

Luke 16:19-31 New International Version (NIV)

The Rich Man and Lazarus

19 “There was a rich man who was dressed in purple and fine linen and lived in luxury every day. 20 At his gate was laid a beggar named Lazarus, covered with sores 21 and longing to eat what fell from the rich man’s table. Even the dogs came and licked his sores.

22 “The time came when the beggar died and the angels carried him to Abraham’s side. The rich man also died and was buried. 23 In Hades, where he was in torment, he looked up and saw Abraham far away, with Lazarus by his side. 24 So he called to him, ‘Father Abraham, have pity on me and send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, because I am in agony in this fire.’

25 “But Abraham replied, ‘Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, while Lazarus received bad things, but now he is comforted here and you are in agony. 26 And besides all this, between us and you a great chasm has been set in place, so that those who want to go from here to you cannot, nor can anyone cross over from there to us.’

27 “He answered, ‘Then I beg you, father, send Lazarus to my family, 28 for I have five brothers. Let him warn them, so that they will not also come to this place of torment.’

29 “Abraham replied, ‘They have Moses and the Prophets; let them listen to them.’

30 “‘No, father Abraham,’ he said, ‘but if someone from the dead goes to them, they will repent.’

31 “He said to him, ‘If they do not listen to Moses and the Prophets, they will not be convinced even if someone rises from the dead.’”

Lazarus time on earth was not good. He had a very rough life. He probably could’ve connected with some wicked people who could have given him some conveniences to make this life easier but he didn’t. He remained loyal and faithful to God Yahweh. There were probably church people that even questioned if he was saved. He doesn’t look saved. He doesn’t look like a Christian. What does a saved person look like? What does a Christian look like? I guess people would say they look like the man dressed in purple and fine linen but look where he ended up; in hell he opened his eyes.

James 2:3-7 New International Version (NIV)

If you show special attention to the man wearing fine clothes and say, “Here’s a good seat for you,” but say to the poor man, “You stand there” or “Sit on the floor by my feet,” have you not discriminated among yourselves and become judges with evil thoughts?

Listen, my dear brothers and sisters: Has not God chosen those who are poor in the eyes of the world to be rich in faith and to inherit the kingdom he promised those who love him? But you have dishonored the poor. Is it not the rich who are exploiting you? Are they not the ones who are dragging you into court? Are they not the ones who are blaspheming the noble name of him to whom you belong?

Only God can judge people. God sees people in their entirety. He knows the person. He knows the good that they do and He knows the bad. We can’t look at people and think they are good because they were name brand clothes and the latest fashions. The world judges people by what they can see. God judges correctly because He sees and knows everything about the person. God is looking at more than just their appearance. He is looking at their heart. You may say what does this have to do with friendships. Well, Lazarus had the best friend he could’ve had and that is Father God (Yahweh) himself.

John 15:15

Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.”

Lazarus was like the eagle. Eagles don’t follow the crowd. Eagles don’t get messed up in other people’s sins. Eagles fly alone. There are going to be times on our Christian journey when we are going to have to go the extra mile for Jesus and we may have to do that alone. It may look like we are alone but, no we are never truly alone. Our God Yahweh is with us every step of the way. He helps us to make to the end of our Christian journey.

Don’t be like the chicken who is always in a coop with other chickens flapping their wings, clucking and flapping their wings, fighting for food and pecking other chickens in their head.

Learn to be like the eagle. These birds are very powerful and majestic. The eagle lives life with passion and with a purpose. Live like the eagle. Amen!!!!!!!!!

And the Wall came Tumbling Down

Joshua 6:15-20 New International Version (NIV)

15 On the seventh day, they got up at daybreak and marched around the city seven times in the same manner, except that on that day they circled the city seven times. 16 The seventh time around, when the priests sounded the trumpet blast, Joshua commanded the army, “Shout! For the Lord has given you the city! 17 The city and all that is in it are to be devoted[a] to the Lord. Only Rahab the prostitute and all who are with her in her house shall be spared, because she hid the spies we sent. 18 But keep away from the devoted things, so that you will not bring about your own destruction by taking any of them. Otherwise you will make the camp of Israel liable to destruction and bring trouble on it. 19 All the silver and gold and the articles of bronze and iron are sacred to the Lord and must go into his treasury.”

20 When the trumpets sounded, the army shouted, and at the sound of the trumpet, when the men gave a loud shout, the wall collapsed; so everyone charged straight in, and they took the city.

How many of us now that God Yahweh makes things happen? How many of us know that HE can make hindrances, stumbling blocks, difficulties, barriers, snags, impediments, and restrictions be removed. If we ask God HE will help us get through the barriers and the roadblocks the devil puts in our way to stop us.

Matthew 7:7-8 King James Version (KJV)

Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:

For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

GOD will give us instruction on how to defeat the devil in his plot to stop you. Just look at our opening scripture. Specific instructions were given to the children of Israel on how to take the city of Jericho. Joshua, the leader of the children of Israel, did not deter from the Lord’s instructions. He believed the LORD and did what he was told. If we are to be successful working for the Lord, we have to learn to listen to HIS instructions and do things HIS way, not ours. It may look like were doing it all wrong but we have to be convinced this is the way the Lord said to do this. Satan will come and try to put doubt in our mind. But we don’t listen to the devil, only to the Lord. HE is the Commander in Chief.

It took a little time to do this. Many times we want something instantly and immediately but it doesn’t always work out that way. We must have confidence in our God and the instructions He give us. GOD will never lead us astray or off course. GOD wants us to succeed. GOD wants us to make it. Don’t be so concerned about how it looks in front of other people. It may look strange to them but God’s people are peculiar people.

1 Peter 2:9 King James Version (KJV)

But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light

The world and the church are separate. The world is concerned with the here and now, carnal things, lust of the flesh, pride of life, and lust of the eyes.

1 John 2:16 King James Version (KJV)

16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

God is concerned about your life here but He is more concerned about when you leave this world. The church doesn’t put it’s confidence in the plans of a man but believes and has faith in the Word of God.

This is the way we need to be church. The children of Israel were listening to Joshua but they knew that Joshua was receiving instruction from the Lord. People how many of these kind of leaders do we have today. These are the kind of Pastoral Leaders we need today. People who hear from GOD and complete His instruction willingly and obediently. Where Lord are these people? We need them so much today.

Finally, the children of Israel through the leadership of Joshua, did what they were told and the wall came tumbling down. May the wall come tumbling down in your life today. Amen.

Prayer:  Father God, thank you for your Son Jesus that you have made our Commander in Chief, the Chief Shepherd and the Chief Cornerstone of the church. Father as Jesus gives the instruction today to your church let us listen and obey. When the children of Israel obeyed mighty things happened.  Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8). That what happened years ago can and will happen today if we learn to obey Christ. Father let the people have faith in You and Your Son Jesus and the Holy Spirit. Let what happened in the early church happen today. Help us Lord to believe again. Amen.

We Are Christ’s Ambassadors

2 Corinthians 5:20 New International Version (NIV)

20 We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God.

God has made reconciliation through Christ.

Colossians 1:20 Christian Standard Bible (CSB)

20 and through him to reconcile
everything to himself,
whether things on earth or things in heaven,
by making peace
through his blood, shed on the cross.

God brought everything and everybody back to Him by the blood Jesus shed on the cross. The whole was alienated from Him. God desired fellowship with His creation and everything that he made but because of sin there was separation. Now fellowship can take place again if people receive the sacrifice Jesus made on the cross. The word of reconciliation has been committed to the ambassadors.  The word (the scripture) has been entrusted to faithful and committed people who make every effort to make known God’s love and forgiveness of sins.

God the offended party is seeking reconciliation not the ones who did the offending. It was the love for his enemies that God sought them. God’s love is tremendous. HE wants everyone who will to receive this gospel. The gospel is a life jacket to a drowning person. This world with all its corruption and filth has nothing to offer. The world may try to make sin appealing but in the end it all leads to death. Death for an unbeliever is eternal separation from GOD which is what GOD does not want.

Romans 8:7 Christian Standard Bible (CSB)

The mind-set of the flesh is hostile to God because it does not submit to God’s law. Indeed, it is unable to do so.

James 4:4 Christian Standard Bible (CSB)

You adulterous people! Don’t you know that friendship with the world is hostility toward God? So whoever wants to be the friend of the world becomes the enemy of God.

1 John 2:15 Christian Standard Bible (CSB)

A Warning about the World

15 Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

Jesus in his High Priest role is praying and interceding for people who have not received Him as Lord and Savior.  We are all under God’s control and care even if we do not want admit it. The world and the entire universe belongs to God.  We are small, weak and frail compared to our GOD. Yet HE is still patient with us. He is giving us chance after chance to receive Him.

Luke 23:34 Christian Standard Bible (CSB)

34 Then Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, because they do not know what they are doing.”

He is still praying for us even when people lied on Him and had Him crucified for doing what pleased GOD. God’s will was important Jesus and He made sure to do it. He wasn’t worried so much about it fitting in with what the Pharisees and Sadducees did.  They were more concerned with position, looking good in front of others, greed and lusting for money. These things were far from Jesus mind. God’s will for Jesus was Him dying on the cross for the sins of people. Jesus paid for sin with His blood. If people receive this, they can have fellowship and be reconciled to the Father which is what Father God wants.

2 Corinthians 5:21 Christian Standard Bible (CSB)

21 He made the one who did not know sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.

Now GOD desires for the world to come to Him. He desires for them to release, turn loose, and repent of sin. He desires his people to made new creatures in Christ Jesus, old things are passed away ( 2 Corinthians 5:17). We are now created in Christ Jesus for good works. Lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes, and pride of life are not things that we pursue anymore. We are looking for that new heaven and that new earth God promised us.

Revelation 21:1 Christian Standard Bible (CSB)

The New Creation

21 Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more.

God makes all things new. This is why God is coming after the people that he created because he knows that this world is going to one day pass away and will not be here anymore.

I urge you today if you have not received the Lord Jesus today, change your mind before it is too late. Receive His salvation today. He will help us in this life and in the life to come. There is life after death with Jesus. There is eternal life which is the best life to have. Amen!!!!!!!!!!!!

What is truth?

John 18:38 Common English Bible (CEB)

38 “What is truth?” Pilate asked.

After Pilate said this, he returned to the Jewish leaders and said, “I find no grounds for any charge against him.

And that should have been the end of it but Pilate as he listened to the Jews accusations of Jesus began to care less and less about truth and began worrying about what would happen to him if he didn’t crucify Jesus. When we meet Jesus there are things that we begin to confront in ourselves. Pilate was finding out what kind of person he was in just this short amount of time with Jesus. Pilate was not looking good. This happens to all of us when we are confronted with Jesus. We begin to see those things that Jesus see. If we receive Jesus, we begin working on these things that do not make us look good and pleasing before God what is what he wants us to do. This is the truth people.

People today no longer have a publicly acknowledged standard of truth. Falsehood is proclaimed and eagerly accepted. Why is this? Because falsehood allows things contrary to the truth. If we know truth, then we should follow truth. Jesus is the truth. Listen to Him. Follow Jesus. Listen to the words of the bible and live. These are the words of eternal life.

John 6:54 King James Version (KJV)

54 Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.

This is the person who believes and has faith in Jesus atoning sacrifice that He made on the cross. We have life in Him when we do so.

John 6:55-56 Contemporary English Version (CEV)

55 My flesh is the true food, and my blood is the true drink. 56 If you eat my flesh and drink my blood, you are one with me, and I am one with you.

Jesus wants people to come to Him, to believe in Him, and have fellowship with Him. He wants us to confront those things that separate us from God, whatever sins we are participating in, and quit doing them. Jesus will help us deal with our sins. Jesus does not desire sin to have control of you. God’s children are not slaves of the devil.

Romans 6:12-14 Easy-to-Read Version (ERV)

12 But don’t let sin control your life here on earth. You must not be ruled by the things your sinful self makes you want to do. 13 Don’t offer the parts of your body to serve sin. Don’t use your bodies to do evil, but offer yourselves to God, as people who have died and now live. Offer the parts of your body to God to be used for doing good.14 Sin will not be your master, because you are not under law. You now live under God’s grace.

Many of the people with Jesus at this time said this was a hard saying.

John 6:60 King James Version (KJV)

60 Many therefore of his disciples, when they had heard this, said, This is an hard saying; who can hear it?

It is hard because they would have to learn to live their life a different way. Their life would not be about them anymore, it would be all about God. There would be no fulfilling of the flesh. They would have to learn to live in the Spirit.

John 6:63 King James Version (KJV)

63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.

We have life, eternal life, when we learn to live this way.  You will not be missing anything in this fleshly carnal life. All things will be made new.

Revelation 21:1 Contemporary English Version (CEV)

The New Heaven and the New Earth

21 I saw a new heaven and a new earth. The first heaven and the first earth had disappeared, and so had the sea.

2 Corinthians 5:17 Contemporary English Version (CEV)

17 Anyone who belongs to Christ is a new person. The past is forgotten, and everything is new.

Oh by the way, this is the truth. It is the truth because it is infallible Word of God. Wikipedia says Biblical infallibility is the belief that what the Bible says regarding matters of faith and Christian practice is wholly useful and true. It is the “belief that the Bible is completely trustworthy as a guide to salvation and the life of faith and will not fail to accomplish its purpose.

God does not fail us. What He promised us shall come to pass. The bible is real and reliable and believable. God is asking us to live a life of faith.

Hebrews 11:1 King James Version (KJV)

11 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Proverbs 3:13 Common English Bible (CEB)

Value of wisdom

13 Happy are those who find wisdom
    and those who gain understanding.

John 13:17 Easy-to-Read Version (ERV)

17 If you know these things, great blessings will be yours if you do them.

When God asks us to do things that we think are hard God wants to do something we can’t. We realize that God is going to have to do this, if He wants this done. We start listening and paying attention waiting for when God wants us act. God wants to use us today church. We exist to please Him and do so gladly. When you realize your life is not your own but belongs to God, God will begin to use you in the earth realm.

God changes our character into His character when we go through difficulties, trials, and tribulations. We seek Him for answers and become more dependent on Him for solutions. Difficulties makes us more like Jesus.

Again this is the truth. Believe and read your bible. Amen!!!!!!!!

God’s Word Produces Holy Living

Galatians 5:18-25 New International Version (NIV)

18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.

19 The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; 20 idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions 21 and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. 24 Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. 25 Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.

Those who have crucified the flesh do not live in the flesh but live in the Spirit. We have crucified our flesh in Christ.

Galatians 5:24 New International Version (NIV)

24 Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.

We are to do this daily. We belong to Christ and our body belong to Christ. We honor Christ in our body by doing those things that are pleasing to Him.

Romans 8:13-14 New International Version (NIV)

13 For if you live according to the flesh, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live.

14 For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God.

God’s children live by the Spirit that God has given to us freely. We are His and live a life that is His. Our life is no longer ours. We no longer do what we want to do. We are no longer carnal and doing what the flesh wants to do. We are Spiritual and doing those things that the Spirit of God would have us to to. To live carnally is live a life that leads to death; eternal death, separation from the Father. This kind of living includes sexual immorality and fornication (sex outside of marriage) which is not pleasing to God; debauchery which is habitual and unrestrained  lust and sensuality. God is not pleased with this kind of living; having idols (things that take the place of God) are not pleasing to God. Having hatred in our heart, discord (conflict, hostility, and ill will) against people, being jealous against our brothers and sisters and other people and fits of rage against people; God is not pleased with this. God does not like selfish ambition (always looking out for one’s self interests); dissensions (speech inciting people to rebel against God), factions (a small organized dissenting group within politics) and envy (desire to have a quality or possession that someone has), drunkenness (drinking until you have loss self control) orgies and the like (unrestrained sexual activity). These things lead to eternal punishment. If we are caught up in these things then we need to turn which is repent and come back to the Father.

There may be people saying you can live your life any kind of way and still make it into the kingdom of heaven. This is not true. We have to live as we have been told by the bible. The bible leads us to heaven if we follow and keep God’s word.

Revelation 21:27 New International Version (NIV)

27 Nothing impure will ever enter it, nor will anyone who does what is shameful or deceitful, but only those whose names are written in the Lamb’s book of life.

God is giving people opportunity now to come to Him for repentance before it is too late. The Lord is coming back for His church.

2 Peter 3:9-10 New International Version (NIV)

The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.

10 But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything done in it will be laid bare.

He’s coming back for His church. Those who have heard His words, listened, and prepared themselves for His return will make it to Heaven.

Matthew 25:1-13 New International Version (NIV)

The Parable of the Ten Virgins

25 “At that time the kingdom of heaven will be like ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. Five of them were foolish and five were wise. The foolish ones took their lamps but did not take any oil with them. The wise ones, however, took oil in jars along with their lamps. The bridegroom was a long time in coming, and they all became drowsy and fell asleep.

“At midnight the cry rang out: ‘Here’s the bridegroom! Come out to meet him!’

“Then all the virgins woke up and trimmed their lamps. The foolish ones said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil; our lamps are going out.’

“‘No,’ they replied, ‘there may not be enough for both us and you. Instead, go to those who sell oil and buy some for yourselves.’

10 “But while they were on their way to buy the oil, the bridegroom arrived. The virgins who were ready went in with him to the wedding banquet. And the door was shut.

11 “Later the others also came. ‘Lord, Lord,’ they said, ‘open the door for us!’

12 “But he replied, ‘Truly I tell you, I don’t know you.’

13 “Therefore keep watch, because you do not know the day or the hour.

Don’t be like the ones who cannot enter but be like the ones who were expecting the Lord to come back just like He promised and was ready when He arrived.

Revelation 22:14-16 English Standard Version (ESV)

14 Blessed are those who wash their robes, so that they may have the right to the tree of life and that they may enter the city by the gates. 15 Outside are the dogs and sorcerers and the sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters, and everyone who loves and practices falsehood.

16 “I, Jesus, have sent my angel to testify to you about these things for the churches. I am the root and the descendant of David, the bright morning star.”

God does force his truth on anyone. We are given the choice to receive Him, to receive His salvation. If they wish not to receive the truth God will give them over to their wicked passions.

Romans 1:27-29 King James Version (KJV)

27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.

28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;

29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,

If we do not desire the truth God will give us exactly what we desire and we will suffer the consequences of our choice.

Receive God’s salvation today. Receive his forgiveness of sins and live a life in eternity with God instead of living a life tormened in Hell.

GOD Will See Us Through

to_write_love_on_him_3_by_vortexgrey

1 Peter 3:17-22 New International Version (NIV)

17 For it is better, if it is God’s will, to suffer for doing good than for doing evil. 18 For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. He was put to death in the body but made alive in the Spirit. 19 After being made alive, he went and made proclamation to the imprisoned spirits— 20 to those who were disobedient long ago when God waited patiently in the days of Noah while the ark was being built. In it only a few people, eight in all, were saved through water, 21 and this water symbolizes baptism that now saves you also—not the removal of dirt from the body but the pledge of a clear conscience toward God. It saves you by the resurrection of Jesus Christ, 22 who has gone into heaven and is at God’s right hand—with angels, authorities and powers in submission to him.

Christians living in this world, we will have to go through, if we are going to have to suffer, let us suffer for doing something good instead of evil.

GOD wishes for His church to have mature Christians who can handle going through for Him. He needs people He can make a request and not worry about it getting done because its going to make them look bad or make the wrong impression.

When we become Christians our flesh dies. We do not live to make ourselves look good before other people. That should not be our primary goal. Our primary goal is looking good before Father God. We must realize there are some things that God may ask of us that may make us look a bit crazy to the world. Let us be assured that GOD sees everything and knows everything. We only see and know in part.  We believe God will reveal what we need to see and know to perform the task that He is asking of us. We know that God will not lead us astray but will lead us straight to victory every time.

James 1:2-4 New International Version (NIV)

Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.

Whenever we go through trials and tribulations it builds and strengthens our trust in GOD. This is his goal to have people who know that their GOD is able and can do all things anytime, anywhere. That’s the kind of God we serve. He did it in times of old and He is able to do it during our current present time. Where is your faith church? Nothing is too hard for our GOD. He can handle your tough time. He can handle your situation. Turn it over to Him and wait for Him to answer. Do not doubt that He will answer. Know that it is already dealt with. GOD will be answering you on how to handle your difficult circumstance. How can I be so sure? Because He has done so for me many times before. GOD is a prayer answering God.

Isaiah 65:24 New International Version (NIV)

24 Before they call I will answer;
while they are still speaking I will hear.

John 15:7 New International Version (NIV)

If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.

1 John 5:14-15 New International Version (NIV)

14 This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. 15 And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him.

Micah 7:7 New International Version (NIV)

But as for me, I watch in hope for the Lord,
    I wait for God my Savior;
    my God will hear me.

God will hear and answer your prayer every single time.

1 Kings 17:21-22 New International Version (NIV)

21 Then he stretched himself out on the boy three times and cried out to the Lord, “Lord my God, let this boy’s life return to him!”

22 The Lord heard Elijah’s cry, and the boy’s life returned to him, and he lived.

Prayers are not always just for yourself. Sometimes our prayers need to be for others. We can show God how much faith we have in Him by not worrying about ourselves but praying for those who may not know that God has everything already under control. This is what He’s looking for. People who have prayed believing that God has heard them and is working on their behalf for what they have requested. While we are waiting for an answer to our prayer we begin praying for our brothers and sisters whose faith may not be as strong. We just continue praying believing that God hears the petition and we wait for the outcome of the prayer. We should never pray and think that God has discarded or thrown our prayer to the side as unimportant. All prayers are important to God. Nothing is tossed or thrown to the side. We are respected and loved by GOD. This is what He wants, to spend time with us. He loves us oh so much. He desires fellowship and relationship with His people. He desires to be close to us; not estranged from Him. He does not want us to be afraid to come to Him.

GOD is enthusiastically passionate about His family. He is attached to His loved ones. He cares deeply for His children. When they hurt, HE hurts. He wants to see his children joyful and blessed. He wants to see us enthusiastically passionate about Him; about spending time with Him in prayer, worship, or praise. GOD loves this. He loves it when we excitedly talk about Him to another person.  Okay I know Christianity is not very popular right now.  GOD loves us still the same. The devil who is full of deceit and lies is cunning and crafty to portray the church misleadingly. Many people can not stand to be seen as anything but a good person but when we are truly submitted unto GOD sometimes the devil will cause the true Christians to look bad. When this happens we just need to continue to trust in the Lord and let Him handle the situation. We will be exonerated and the truth will come shining forth.

Proverbs 4:18 New International Version (NIV)

18 The path of the righteous is like the morning sun,
shining ever brighter till the full light of day.

Daniel 12:3 New International Version (NIV)

Those who are wise will shine like the brightness of the heavens, and those who lead many to righteousness, like the stars for ever and ever.

Matthew 13:43 New International Version (NIV)

43 Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Whoever has ears, let them hear.

People don’t be afraid to go through for the Lord. Don’t be afraid to do the things that He asks. Those who are really truly working in God’s kingdom cause great distress to the devil. That is why he causes trouble for you. Just look at the works of Jesus; healing blinded eyes, the lame walking, the dead being raised, healing a withered hand, healing a paralyzed man, healing people with leprosy, restoring a severed ear, and ascension of Jesus into heaven. The devil was really distressed by what Jesus was doing.  The devil thought he was getting rid of Jesus when he had him crucified him but Jesus only rose to greater stature and greater glory because he endured the cross.  When we go through for GOD, just like with Jesus, that is only going to make us rise to a higher position in God and the church. Jesus trusted that GOD would see Him through and the church needs to trust that GOD will see us through difficult moments also. This is the kind of mindset we as Christians need to have today, whatever we may be facing or whatever we may be going through; believe that GOD will see us through. Amen!!!!!!!!
