We Are Christ’s Ambassadors

2 Corinthians 5:20 New International Version (NIV)

20 We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God.

God has made reconciliation through Christ.

Colossians 1:20 Christian Standard Bible (CSB)

20 and through him to reconcile
everything to himself,
whether things on earth or things in heaven,
by making peace
through his blood, shed on the cross.

God brought everything and everybody back to Him by the blood Jesus shed on the cross. The whole was alienated from Him. God desired fellowship with His creation and everything that he made but because of sin there was separation. Now fellowship can take place again if people receive the sacrifice Jesus made on the cross. The word of reconciliation has been committed to the ambassadors.  The word (the scripture) has been entrusted to faithful and committed people who make every effort to make known God’s love and forgiveness of sins.

God the offended party is seeking reconciliation not the ones who did the offending. It was the love for his enemies that God sought them. God’s love is tremendous. HE wants everyone who will to receive this gospel. The gospel is a life jacket to a drowning person. This world with all its corruption and filth has nothing to offer. The world may try to make sin appealing but in the end it all leads to death. Death for an unbeliever is eternal separation from GOD which is what GOD does not want.

Romans 8:7 Christian Standard Bible (CSB)

The mind-set of the flesh is hostile to God because it does not submit to God’s law. Indeed, it is unable to do so.

James 4:4 Christian Standard Bible (CSB)

You adulterous people! Don’t you know that friendship with the world is hostility toward God? So whoever wants to be the friend of the world becomes the enemy of God.

1 John 2:15 Christian Standard Bible (CSB)

A Warning about the World

15 Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

Jesus in his High Priest role is praying and interceding for people who have not received Him as Lord and Savior.  We are all under God’s control and care even if we do not want admit it. The world and the entire universe belongs to God.  We are small, weak and frail compared to our GOD. Yet HE is still patient with us. He is giving us chance after chance to receive Him.

Luke 23:34 Christian Standard Bible (CSB)

34 Then Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, because they do not know what they are doing.”

He is still praying for us even when people lied on Him and had Him crucified for doing what pleased GOD. God’s will was important Jesus and He made sure to do it. He wasn’t worried so much about it fitting in with what the Pharisees and Sadducees did.  They were more concerned with position, looking good in front of others, greed and lusting for money. These things were far from Jesus mind. God’s will for Jesus was Him dying on the cross for the sins of people. Jesus paid for sin with His blood. If people receive this, they can have fellowship and be reconciled to the Father which is what Father God wants.

2 Corinthians 5:21 Christian Standard Bible (CSB)

21 He made the one who did not know sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.

Now GOD desires for the world to come to Him. He desires for them to release, turn loose, and repent of sin. He desires his people to made new creatures in Christ Jesus, old things are passed away ( 2 Corinthians 5:17). We are now created in Christ Jesus for good works. Lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes, and pride of life are not things that we pursue anymore. We are looking for that new heaven and that new earth God promised us.

Revelation 21:1 Christian Standard Bible (CSB)

The New Creation

21 Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more.

God makes all things new. This is why God is coming after the people that he created because he knows that this world is going to one day pass away and will not be here anymore.

I urge you today if you have not received the Lord Jesus today, change your mind before it is too late. Receive His salvation today. He will help us in this life and in the life to come. There is life after death with Jesus. There is eternal life which is the best life to have. Amen!!!!!!!!!!!!

What is truth?

John 18:38 Common English Bible (CEB)

38 “What is truth?” Pilate asked.

After Pilate said this, he returned to the Jewish leaders and said, “I find no grounds for any charge against him.

And that should have been the end of it but Pilate as he listened to the Jews accusations of Jesus began to care less and less about truth and began worrying about what would happen to him if he didn’t crucify Jesus. When we meet Jesus there are things that we begin to confront in ourselves. Pilate was finding out what kind of person he was in just this short amount of time with Jesus. Pilate was not looking good. This happens to all of us when we are confronted with Jesus. We begin to see those things that Jesus see. If we receive Jesus, we begin working on these things that do not make us look good and pleasing before God what is what he wants us to do. This is the truth people.

People today no longer have a publicly acknowledged standard of truth. Falsehood is proclaimed and eagerly accepted. Why is this? Because falsehood allows things contrary to the truth. If we know truth, then we should follow truth. Jesus is the truth. Listen to Him. Follow Jesus. Listen to the words of the bible and live. These are the words of eternal life.

John 6:54 King James Version (KJV)

54 Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.

This is the person who believes and has faith in Jesus atoning sacrifice that He made on the cross. We have life in Him when we do so.

John 6:55-56 Contemporary English Version (CEV)

55 My flesh is the true food, and my blood is the true drink. 56 If you eat my flesh and drink my blood, you are one with me, and I am one with you.

Jesus wants people to come to Him, to believe in Him, and have fellowship with Him. He wants us to confront those things that separate us from God, whatever sins we are participating in, and quit doing them. Jesus will help us deal with our sins. Jesus does not desire sin to have control of you. God’s children are not slaves of the devil.

Romans 6:12-14 Easy-to-Read Version (ERV)

12 But don’t let sin control your life here on earth. You must not be ruled by the things your sinful self makes you want to do. 13 Don’t offer the parts of your body to serve sin. Don’t use your bodies to do evil, but offer yourselves to God, as people who have died and now live. Offer the parts of your body to God to be used for doing good.14 Sin will not be your master, because you are not under law. You now live under God’s grace.

Many of the people with Jesus at this time said this was a hard saying.

John 6:60 King James Version (KJV)

60 Many therefore of his disciples, when they had heard this, said, This is an hard saying; who can hear it?

It is hard because they would have to learn to live their life a different way. Their life would not be about them anymore, it would be all about God. There would be no fulfilling of the flesh. They would have to learn to live in the Spirit.

John 6:63 King James Version (KJV)

63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.

We have life, eternal life, when we learn to live this way.  You will not be missing anything in this fleshly carnal life. All things will be made new.

Revelation 21:1 Contemporary English Version (CEV)

The New Heaven and the New Earth

21 I saw a new heaven and a new earth. The first heaven and the first earth had disappeared, and so had the sea.

2 Corinthians 5:17 Contemporary English Version (CEV)

17 Anyone who belongs to Christ is a new person. The past is forgotten, and everything is new.

Oh by the way, this is the truth. It is the truth because it is infallible Word of God. Wikipedia says Biblical infallibility is the belief that what the Bible says regarding matters of faith and Christian practice is wholly useful and true. It is the “belief that the Bible is completely trustworthy as a guide to salvation and the life of faith and will not fail to accomplish its purpose.

God does not fail us. What He promised us shall come to pass. The bible is real and reliable and believable. God is asking us to live a life of faith.

Hebrews 11:1 King James Version (KJV)

11 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Proverbs 3:13 Common English Bible (CEB)

Value of wisdom

13 Happy are those who find wisdom
    and those who gain understanding.

John 13:17 Easy-to-Read Version (ERV)

17 If you know these things, great blessings will be yours if you do them.

When God asks us to do things that we think are hard God wants to do something we can’t. We realize that God is going to have to do this, if He wants this done. We start listening and paying attention waiting for when God wants us act. God wants to use us today church. We exist to please Him and do so gladly. When you realize your life is not your own but belongs to God, God will begin to use you in the earth realm.

God changes our character into His character when we go through difficulties, trials, and tribulations. We seek Him for answers and become more dependent on Him for solutions. Difficulties makes us more like Jesus.

Again this is the truth. Believe and read your bible. Amen!!!!!!!!

Paul Sacrifices for the Gospel

2 Corinthians 11:24-27 New International Version (NIV)

24 Five times I received from the Jews the forty lashes minus one. 25 Three times I was beaten with rods, once I was pelted with stones, three times I was shipwrecked, I spent a night and a day in the open sea, 26 I have been constantly on the move. I have been in danger from rivers, in danger from bandits, in danger from my fellow Jews, in danger from Gentiles; in danger in the city, in danger in the country, in danger at sea; and in danger from false believers. 27 I have labored and toiled and have often gone without sleep; I have known hunger and thirst and have often gone without food; I have been cold and naked.

What are you willing to sacrifice or endure for the Gospel?
